Located in the center of the prestigious Cote de Nuits and in the upper part of the famous Clos de Vougeot, the cradle of Burgundian viticulture, inside the surrounding walls stands Chateau de la Tour (created in 1890). Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is 50 hectares with around 50 owners. Chateau de la Tour ownes 5 hectares perfectly located with some vines located close the the Chateau and not far away from Echezeaux vines.

Deep ruby color. These old vines offer dark berry aromas with tobacco hints. These old vines generate concentrated and rich flavors of dark fruits, plum, blackberries. This is a muscular yet balanced and well structured wine.

As the Domaine is organic since 1992, Francois Labet (owner and wine maker) is really demanding and focused on quality. Grapes are hand picked and aged in oak barrels. 2 Cuvees of Grand Cru Clos Vougeot are produced in this exclusive cellar. The first Cuvee is "Classic" and second one "Vieille Vigne" is even more confidential with limited quantity made out grapes from old vines.
Should be served between 15 to 16 degrees.
It's a Grand Cru, so you can pair it with more elaborate dishes (made for special occasion) like White truffle pasta, beef with fois gras on top, any type of cheese or with chocolate deserts.
