Deep red colour. Intense blackcurrant and red fruits on the nose. Powerful attack in the mouth with firm tannins and the fruits in the background will provide you with freshness.

Volume/Bottle size:

This Domaine is located in the centre of Pommard and has a lovely courtyard with buildings dating from the 17th century. 13 hectares (10 hectares producing red wine and 3 hectares producing white wine) are spread across Pommard, Beaune and Saint-Romain. This domaine represents centuries of history and now embraces modern techniques to win medals at different wine-making contests. Domaine Coste-Caumartin is small and not as well-known as other winemakers I represent, but the wine is definitely worth buying as the quality remains the same.

20 to 30% of grapes are de-stemmed before pressing. Pneumatic press, temperature controlled. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in barrel. Aged in oak barrels (20% new) and bottled after 12 months when matured.
Should be served between 14 to 16 degrees.
Spicy and pepper dishes, beef ribs, lamb, and poultry stew. Cheeses like Epoisses, Langres, Soumaintrain, or any intense flavored cheese.
