The Gros Family is an extensive family and all of them are winemakers. Anne François Gros, originally from Vosne-Romanée, married François Parent from Pommard and merged their 2 domaines together, but decided to keep their own labels. That’s why, depending on the appellation that you order, you might have a ‘black truffle’ on the label for François Parent’s appellations and a delicate female head if you order Anne Françoise’s appellations. Even though they have 2 different labels, wines are now made by Mathias Parent (their son), helped by his sister Caroline (in charge of the sales and marketing). The domaine has 14 hectares from Bourgogne to Grand Cru appellations with 90% of red wine appellations in Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits.

Bright red colour. The nose is straightforward, with nice red fruits with mocha and dried blood touches. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and nice fruit concentration on the finish.

Grapes are hand-harvested and sorted on a sorting table. Grapes are destemmed but not crushed and then have a short cool maceration, fermented with more pumping over than punching down to have a full concentration. Mathias Parent is a really talented winemaker and no matter the appellation or vintage, you will love all their wines.
Should be served between 15 to 16 degrees.
It goes perfectly with meats like roasted chicken, stuffed quail with mushrooms, foie gras, and duck confit. Cheeses like triple cream cheeses such as Brillat-Savarin or Chaource.
